Works underway to restore water supply in Celbridge and surrounding areas

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a burst affecting some residents in Celbridge, Leixlip, Youngs Cross, Liffey Bridge, Youngs Cross, Dublin Road and surrounds.

Crews are on the ground and every effort is being made to address the issue as quickly as possible. We expect supplies to start returning to normal around 9pm tonight.

Uisce Éireann’s Stephen Burke said . “We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our crews work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Typically, once a repair has been completed it takes two to three hours for normal supply to be restored to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, in some incidences, as the system charges, it may take longer.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. To register as a vulnerable customer or as an alternative contact, visit www.water.ie/vulnerablecustomer.
