Water supply restored for customers in Ardee, Co. Louth

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann has restored the water supply in Ardee following a burst water main.

Uisce Éireann crews identified and isolated the burst water main in the John Street area of Ardee, impacting customers in Ardee and surrounding areas in Louth. A traffic management system was put in place on John Street for the repair works to be carried out.

Water has now been restored to all customers in the area. Following repair works, it typically takes three to four hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.

James O’Hagan, Water Operations Lead, said, “We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned interruption and thank our customers for their patience.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Uisce Éireann continues to provide detailed, real-time, and local information about water service and supply issues on our website.
