Work on-going to repair burst water main in Donabate

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water to customers in parts of Donabate following a pipe burst at 10pm last night.

Every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible, but the burst is impacting the customers  from the Roundabout at New Road to Corballis Balcarrick and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann crews are on site the main and it is expected works will be completed by 3pm this afternoon. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Éireann’s would like to assure customers that every effort is being made to restore water as quickly as possible. We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while the repair works are ongoing.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. Uisce Éireann continues to provide detailed, real-time, and local information about water service and supply issues on our website.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and updates are also issued via X @IWCare.
