Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supply to customers supplied by Tully Water Treatment Plant in County Offaly. Operations at the water treatment plant continue to be impacted by a power outage following Storm Darragh. This is causing supply interruptions for customers in Tully, Ballinamere and Coolnahiley and surrounding areas.
An alternative water supply in the form of a bulk container, is now in place at:
- Ballinamere Gaa Club
Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
James Joyce, from Uisce Éireann, said, "Storm Darragh caused a power outage impacting production at Tully Water Treatment Plant. Uisce Éireann crews are working closely with the ESB to return power as quickly as possible and to restore operations at the plant. We regret any inconvenience caused by this issue and sincerely thank the communities impacted for their patience."
