Supply returning to properties affected by a large burst water main in Tralee
Crews have repaired a major burst to a rising main feeding Lisloose reservoir and water is returning to homes and businesses.

Uisce Éireann crews have repaired a major burst to a rising main feeding Lisloose reservoir and water is returning to homes and businesses.
The unplanned outage resulted in the catchment regions of Cahersalee, Mounthawk, Ballyroe, Clogherbrien, Spa Road and Balloonagh, Ballyvelly, Kerins Park, Ballyrickard, Lohercannon, Hare Street, Blennerville, Tonevane, Curraheen,Spa, Churchill, Blackpool, Ballygarron, Kilfenora, Ballymakegoge, Glebe, Sunday’s Well, Cuilefeirne being affected.
Repair works continued throughout the day and the network is now re-filling.
Duane O’Brien, Operations Lead, Uisce Éireann thanked affected customers for their cooperation while the complex repair works were carried out.
“Uisce Éireann acknowledges the disruption that can be caused by an unplanned outage such as this complex burst, and we wish to thank customers in the area for their patience while these repair works were under way,” he said.
Following the completion of the works, it can take 2-3 hours for the normal water supply to return as water refills the network, particularly for those properties on high ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in the Tralee area following a large burst to a rising main feeding Lisloose reservoir.
Areas affected include Cahersalee, Mounthawk, Ballyroe, Clogherbrien, Spa Road and Balloonagh, Ballyvelly, Kerins Park, Ballyrickard, Lohercannon, Hare Street, Blennerville, Tonevane, Curraheen,Spa, Churchill, Blackpool, Ballygarron, Kilfenora, Ballymakegoge, Glebe, Sunday’s Well and Cuilefeirne.
Water services crews are on site and commencing work. Due to the complex nature of the burst, it will take a number of hours to repair and to restore normal supply to all customers affected by this unplanned outage.
