Uisce Éireann confirm that following the restoration of power supply to the Ardee area earlier this evening, the Ardee Treatment Plant is now working at full capacity and water levels have started to return to normal in local reservoirs.

Updating Uisce Éireann’s operations lead James O’Hagan confirmed that it will take about 24 hours for water levels in both Sliabh Breagh and Blakestown reservoirs to fully recover. “During this time, no customer should be without water but some customers may experience flow and pressure issues, particularly those in higher areas such as Smarmore and Ballapousta. We understand the inconvenience this has caused and wish to assure all our customers in the area we are working to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible.”
