Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Power has been restored at New Clifton Hill Reservoir in Galway City and water is returning to customers affected.

As a result of high winds during Storm Darragh, the reservoir lost power supply and homes and businesses on the west side of Galway City – Moycullen, Barna and surrounding areas – experienced some water supply issues or intermittent disruptions throughout the day. However, crews worked to restore operations and the network is now recharging.

It may take a number of hours for normal supply to fully restore to all areas as the network refills, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Éireann’s Shay Walsh thanked customers for their support as crews worked throughout the day to restore a normal supply. “The issues have been resolved but customers can expect to be without a normal water supply for a number of hours tonight while the network recharges. We thank all our customers in Galway for their patience while we worked to return a supply to all following Storm Darragh.”
