Power outages have impacted water production at Trim Water Treatment Plant

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann advises customers in Trim and surrounding areas that due to Storm Darragh power outages have impacted water production at Trim Water Treatment Plant, resulting in depleted reservoir levels at Brayhill Reservoir.

Customers in the following areas may experience outages or reduced pressure and/or discolouration: Trim, Rathmolyon, Knightsbrook, Scurlockstown, Effernock, Carberstown, Clonbun, Blackfriary, Crowpark and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann would like to thank the public for their support and patience and ask they continue to conserve water where possible to allow reservoirs and networks to refill as quickly as possible. There are some simple steps people can take to conserve their water, such as avoiding the use of water-intensive appliances during this time. Uisce Éireann will continue to monitor reservoir levels closely and will provide an update if further restrictions are needed.

Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water services to customers following the impact of Storm Darragh on water and wastewater services. There has been significant impact to our plants and networks across the country with a number of water treatment plants not currently in production. Uisce Éireann is working closely with the ESB to return power to key water treatment plants and wastewater assets as soon as possible.
