Uisce Éireann carrying out repairs to South Leitrim burst
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in South Leitrim following a major burst.
Customers from Eslin Bridge to Mohill Town will experience a disruption to their supply tonight and into tomorrow while crews work to repair the burst trunk main on the South Leitrim Public Water Supply.
Repairs are expected to be complete at midday tomorrow. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.
Uisce Éireann’s Kevin Love assured customers that repairs will be carried out as quickly as possible.
“We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We are working to restore normal supply across South Leitrim.”
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
