Uisce Éireann advises of a planned water outage for customers in parts of Wicklow.

Uisce Éireann wishes to advise of a planned water outage which will impact customers in parts of County Wicklow on Monday, 24 March from 10am to 6pm. The outage is necessary to facilitate essential works at Vartry Reservoir.

Customers in Dargle Valley, Glencormick, Quill Road, Kilcroney, Glen of the Downs, Applewood Heights, Dromont, Seagreen, Willow Grove, Coyne's Cross, Ballinahinch, Ballymacahara, Delgany, Woodstock, Newcastle, Newtownmountkennedy, Kilpedder, Nun's Cross, Killiskey, Kilmacnogue and surrounding areas in Co. Wicklow may be impacted by supply interruptions and reduced water pressure.

Speaking about the essential works, Uisce Éireann’s Eoghan Forristal said “We would like to assure affected customers that every effort will be made to reduce the impact of the works and restore the water supply following works as quickly as possible. 

“We understand the impact that outages can have on customers and would like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and co-operation during these essential works.” 

Following works, it can take three to four hours for normal water supply to return to all customers as the network replenishes.
