Reports of Discolouration for Customers Supplied by Fethard Regional Water Treatment Plant
As the water levels refill across the network, some customers may be experiencing discolouration at the taps.
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann wish to assure customers on the Fethard Regional Water Supply Scheme that the plant is now fully operational following overnight issues. As the water levels refill across the network, some customers may be experiencing discolouration at the taps. We are treating this matter as a priority and crews are carrying out flushing on the network which should resolve any instances of discolouration overnight/early tomorrow.
Uisce Éireann advises customers not to drink discoloured water. In the event of discolouration, running the tap for several minutes will usually restore water to a clear colour. The water is safe to drink once running clear. If the issue remains unresolved, we encourage customers to contact us directly.
The Fethard Regional Water Treatment Plant supplies parts of Tipperary, including Cloneen, Mullinahone, Drangen, Killenaule, Moyglass, Ballinure, Ballinunty, Glengoole, Gortnahoo and surrounding areas.
Please note Fethard Town is not impacted by this supply disruption as Fethard is supplied by another water treatment plant.
