Repairs to Water Treatment Plants bring outages to Ardee

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water to customers in parts of  Ardee and surrounding areas following an unscheduled shut down of the water treatment plant.

Every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible, however an unscheduled shut down of the  Ardee treatment plant will lead to water outages in Ardee from 5pm this evening. The shut down is expected to last four hours, Pumping will recommence at 9pm but will take several hours after that for normal supply to be fully restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Éireann’s James OHagan assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water as quickly as possible,“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while the repair works are ongoing.”

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and updates are also issued via X @IWCare.
