Repairs to Roscommon water main burst underway this morning
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.
Uisce Éireann is working to restore water to customers in Roscommon following a major burst at Oran.
Every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible, but the burst is impacting the communities of Cam/CloverHill, Ballydooley, Ballindall, Rockfield, Emlagh, Ballybride, Rathbrennan, Mount Prospect, Lisnaville, Brackloon, Mullymux, Clooneenbane and Lisagallon.
Uisce Éireann crews are on-site this morning repairing the main and it's expected works will be completed this afternoon. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
Uisce Éireann's Ger Greally assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water as quickly as possible.
"We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while the repair works are ongoing."
