Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann wishes to advise of a planned water outage which will potentially impact 1,300 customers in North Kildare and South County Dublin on Tuesday 30 July, from 10am to 5pm. The outage is necessary to facilitate essential works to the water network.

Areas which will potentially be impacted by supply interruptions and reduced water pressure include:

Kildare:

  • Ballyoulster

  • Elmhall

  • Stacumny

  • Balscott

  • Areas in Leixlip, including Castletown, Elton Court, Forest Park, Cluain Dara, Wogansfield, Highfield Park and Knockaulin

  • Areas in Celbridge, including Simmonstown, Callenders Mill, Primrose Hill, Shinkeen Road, Templemills, Temple Manor and Newtown

South County Dublin:

  • Hazelhatch

  • Hynestown

  • Newcastle North

  • Backweston

  • Tubber Lane

Uisce Éireann’s Sinéad Kennedy assures local homes and businesses that every effort will be made to reduce the impact of the works and restore the water supply following works as quickly as possible.

“We understand the impact that outages can have on customers and would like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and co-operation during these essential works.”

Following works, it can take two to three hours for normal water supply to return to all customers as the network replenishes. As the water supply returns, there may be some increased short-term instances of discoloured water.
