A burst water main in Ballina town centre has been repaired and water is returning to the premises affected.
Uisce Éireann crews isolated the supply to ensure only a handful of customers in the Market Square area experienced a disruption to their supply after the burst occurred during road works in the town.
Repairs were carried out throughout the day and supply returned this afternoon.
Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill thanked customers for their patience while crews worked to repair the burst.
“We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. A normal water supply is now returning to the customers affected.”
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
