Essential works taking place in Tallanstown and surrounding area

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann is carrying out essential works to the water network at Mullacrew Reservoir on Monday, 10 June. No disruption to supply is expected, however there maybe intermittent periods of discolouration in Knockbridge, Louth Villange and Tallanstown as the network recharges.

In advance of the works, Uisce Éireann’s James O Hagan reassured local homes and businesses. “Every effort will be made to reduce the impact these necessary works may cause to the local community and to return normal water supplies as quickly as possible. After the works are completed, there may be some increased short-term instances of discoloured water, which may continue in isolated areas for up to 48 hours.”

We advise customers not to drink discoloured water. In the event of discolouration, running the tap for several minutes will usually restore water to a clear colour. If the issue persists, we encourage customers to contact us directly. The customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278..

Uisce Éireann’s customer care team is available to 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries. For further updates, visit the service and supply section of the website.
