Crews working to restore water supply in Leixlip, Celbridge and surrounding areas

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore the water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers in Leixlip, Cellbridge and surrounding areas following a significant burst to a water main.

Expert water services crews have been dispatched to isolate the burst main and every effort is being made to mobilise repair crews as soon as possible.

As per best practice, most homes and businesses will have on-site water storage to provide a backup source of water for sanitation purposes.

Stephen Burke with Uisce Éireann, commented: “We are mobilising crews to isolate the burst main and working to restore water supply to homes and businesses as quickly as possible. We understand the inconvenience an unplanned outage can have on residents and businesses and appreciate your patience as we carry out repair works.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Uisce Éireann continues to provide detailed, real-time, and local information about water service and supply issues on www.water.ie. The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and updates are also issued via Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) @IWCare.
