Crews working to restore water to customers in Trim

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore water supply to customers in Trim and surrounding areas this afternoon following a trunk distribution main burst.

Every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible, however customers in the following locations may experience supply interruptions until repairs are complete: Athboy Road, Old Athboy Road, Kells Road, Whitehall, Oak Tree Business Park, Kildalkey Road, Pinebrook, The Priory, Willow Ave, Elder Grove, Pinebrook, Castle Abbey, Butter Stream Manner, Whitehall, Towerview, Talbot Court, The Belfry.

Crews have been mobilised and repairs are expected to be complete by 6pm this evening.
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Uisce Éireann’s Michael Cunniffe, Asset Operations Lead, assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water as quickly as possible.

“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our repair works are ongoing.”

Customers may experience discolouration to their supply as a result of the repairs. In the event of discolouration, running the tap for several minutes will usually restore water to a clear colour. For more information, please customers can visit our discolouration page.
