Crews working to repair burst impacting parts of Limerick and Clare

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers in Limerick and Clare following a burst watermain. The areas that may be affected by supply disruptions include Longpavement, Moyross, Ballananty, Thommondgate, Shelbourne Road, Moylish, Corbally, Shannon Banks and surrounding areas in Co. Limerick and Cratloe, Parteen and surrounding areas in Co.Clare

Expert water service crews have been dispatched and are carrying out the required repair works, with every effort being made to complete this work as quickly as possible. The repair works are expected to be completed by 5pm today.

Following repair works, it typically takes two to three hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.

We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We would like to thank impacted customers for their patience while we work on repairs and restore the water supply as quickly as possible.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Uisce Éireann continues to provide detailed, real-time, and local information on the water service and supply page (Reference no. LIM00081862).
