Crews restore water supply in O’Briensbridge following outage

Water supply has been restored for impacted customers in O’Briensbridge and surrounding in Co. Clare. This was following mechanical issues experienced at the water treatment plant yesterday evening.
As the network refills and supplies return, customers on higher ground may experience intermittent disruption or low water pressure into the morning, 20 December. Customers may also experience short-term discolouration to their supply. For more information, customers can visit our Discolouration page
Uisce Éireann’s Darragh Conneely said “We acknowledge the inconvenience caused by interruptions to the water supply and very much appreciate the community’s co-operation while our crews worked to carry out the repairs and restore supply.”
Customers are urged to report loss of service or visible leaks to assist Uisce Éireann to identify bursts. The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries.

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers in O’Briensbridge, and surrounding areas in Co. Clare due to mechanical issues being experienced at the water treatment plant.
Homes and businesses in the affected areas may experience low water pressure, temporary water discolouration or intermittent disruptions to water supply.
Expert water service crews have been dispatched and are carrying out the required repair works, with every effort being made to complete this work as quickly as possible. Works are scheduled to take place until 6pm this evening.
Following repair works, it typically takes three to four hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
