Crews repair Kilglass burst

Uisce Éireann crews in County Roscommon have repaired a burst which was impacting customers in Kilglass and surrounding areas today.

A normal water supply is now returning to customers in Toberpatrick, Corgowan, Gillstown, Ballymartin, Clooneen, Kilglass and Knockhall and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann’s Ger Greally thanked customers for their patience while crews carried out repair works.  

“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our crews worked to ensure that a normal water supply is returned to all of our customers as soon as possible,” said Ger.

Repair works were completed this afternoon and Uisce Éireann recommends that customers allow two to three hours after repairs for normal supply to return to homes and businesses.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. Uisce Éireann continues to provide detailed, real-time, and local information on the water service and supply issues page. Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a burst in Kilglass, County Roscommon this morning. 

Every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible, but the burst may cause supply disruptions to customers in Toberpatrick, Corgowan, Gillstown, Ballymartin, Clooneen, Kilglass and Knockhall and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann’s Ger Greally assured customers that every effort is being made to carry out repairs as quickly as possible. 

“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our crews work to ensure that a normal water supply is returned to all of our customers as quickly as possible.”
