Crews continue work to restore water to customers in Moatfarrell

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann crews are continuing to work to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses at Moatfarrell Co. Longford following power outages due to Storm Darragh.

Although supply has returned, some customers in Moatfarell may still be experiencing low water pressure due to low water levels in local reservoirs. Full service is expected to be restored by 11pm this evening.

Uisce Éireann urges the local community to conserve supply at this time as crews continue to manage ongoing operational issues.

John Gavin, Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann said: "We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We are working hard to restore normal supply across Moatfarrell”.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and uplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
