We have made significant progress in recent days restoring water supply to customers in Cavan. Following the impact of Storm Éowyn, eight of the county’s water treatment plants were impacted by power outages across the county.

Operations Lead, Peter Gallagher has said, “This has been an extremely busy period for our engineers, supervisors, caretakers, and repair crews who have been working hard to restore water for our customers and I want to acknowledge those efforts. Their efforts have led to all water treatment plants resuming normal operations. Customers supplied by Ballyhaise, Ballyjamesduff and Ballinagh Public Water Supplies will see their supply return in the coming hours if not already as the water network refills. Uisce Éireann would like to apologise to customers who were without water for a number of days and would like to thank the public for their continued patience during this challenging time.”
