Tullow Wastewater Network Upgrade
Uisce Éireann, working in partnership with Carlow County Council, is progressing works to upgrade the wastewater network in Tullow, representing a €17 million investment.
EPS has been appointed to deliver the project on behalf of Uisce Éireann and works are due to commence in the coming weeks.
Currently, the existing wastewater network is inadequate and does not consistently meet the standard required by the EPA licence. There is also a direct discharge to the River Slaney. These works will modernise and improve performance of the wastewater network and improve water quality in the River Slaney.
These works are following on from a €10 million investment in the upgrade of the wastewater treatment plant in Tullow which was completed in 2023.
