Horgans Quay Water Main Replacement

National Leakage Reduction Programme

Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Cork City and County Council, is constructing a new water main Horgans Quay to improve security of supply for Cork City.

The project to construct a new trunk water main along Horgans Quay will commence 7 January 2019. These works are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann's national Leakage Reduction Programme. The works involve the construction of approximately 500 meters of ductile iron trunk water mains.

The section of works will be carried out from Water Street, along Horgans Quay to be tied into recently laid mains near Kent Station. The works will be carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by Ward & Burke Construction Ltd. and are expected to be completed by the end of March 2019.
