Glenties/Dungloe Sewerage Schemes & Wastewater Treatment Plants

Wastewater Project

The towns of Dungloe and Glenties are located on the west coast of Co. Donegal and, prior to this project, were both served by old and outdated septic tanks and outfalls. This €7.2 million investment involved replacing the old septic tank systems in Dungloe and Glenties and with modern wastewater treatment plants serving over 1,000 households. The new plants ensure treated effluent meets EPA standards and allow for future population growth and economic development in these towns and surrounding areas.
