Farganstown Wastewater Project
Uisce Éireann Growth and Development Programme
Uisce Éireann is planning to construct a new wastewater pumping station and sewerage pipelines in Farganstown, Navan, Co. Meath.
Uisce Éireann is progressing with plans for the proposed Farganstown Local Infrastructure Housing Activation Fund (LIHAF) Wastewater project in Co. Meath.
This project represents an investment of €20 million and involves the construction of a new wastewater pumping station and sewerage pipelines which will alleviate existing wastewater network pressures and provide the required wastewater infrastructure capacity to support future social and economic growth in the area, including planned residential development.
Subject to successful planning application, it is anticipated that construction will commence in 2025.
What is involved?
- Construction of a new strategic pumping station which will transfer flows from new developments and re-routed flows from the southern part of Navan Town to the existing Navan Wastewater Treatment Plant.
- Installation of over 2km of rising main pipeline and 400m of gravity sewer pipeline.
