Update: Repairs successfully completed at Tír an Fhia Water Treatment Plant
Uisce Éireann and Galway County Council have successfully completed repairs following a mechanical fault at the water treatment plant in Tír an Fhia.
The majority of customers on the network will see their water supply return shortly while a number of homes may continue to experience an intermittent supply until the network is fully recharged. It typically it takes two to three hours following repairs for full supply to restore to all customers affected by a water supply outage as reservoir levels replenish.
Eoin Hughes, Uisce Éireann, thanked customers for their patience while repair works were underway.
"Our teams conducted the repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption. We understand the inconvenience an outage can have on customers, and we appreciate their patience."
