Works underway to restore supply to Dunmanway customers
Uisce Éireann is working with Cork County Council to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers following an overnight ESB power outage at the water treatment plant resulting in low water pressure.
Impacted customers in Dunmanway and surrounding areas may be impacted by reduced water pressure and in some instances, particularly on higher ground, intermittent water outages.
Water supply is expected to be restored overnight, however, a planned outage will also be required this evening as production is restarted at the water treatment plant.
Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann, Niall O'Riordan said: "Uisce Éireann would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused when power outages occur and thanks customers for their patience. We are working as quickly as possible to restore normal water supply for the people of Dunmanway."
