Works underway to restore supply in Burgess-Killeagh area

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann and Cork County Council are aware of a burst water main impacting approximately 30 customers in Burgess-Killeagh and surrounding areas.

Dedicated water services crews are progressing with repairs and are making every effort to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible. Repair works are scheduled to be completed by Monday afternoon (06 November). It typically takes up to three hours for normal water supply to be fully restored to all customers, after the estimated restoration time, as the water network refills.

To support impacted customers, an alternative water supply will be available beside Cronin Fitted Kitchens/Furniture Store from tomorrow morning (06 November). Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure as per HSE advice. Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on Twitter @IWCare with any queries. For updates, please see the Water Supply updates section of water.ie
