Alternative water supplies will remain in place until normal supply is returned to all customers
Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supply as quickly as possible to customers following an operational issue impacting parts of the Fethard Regional Water Supply network.
Customers supplied by the Fethard Regional Public Water Supply may be impacted in the following areas including: Arbourhill, Moyglass, Ballinlusky and surrounding areas.
To support impacted customers, Uisce Éireann has arranged the delivery of alternative water supplies to the following locations which will remain in place until water is returned to all customers: Moyglass Village, Silverfort and Balliinlusky.
All alternative water supplies will be in place by 1pm this afternoon. In all instances, customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure as per HSE advice.
As repairs are ongoing, it may take until tomorrow morning before normal water pressure is fully returned to all customers, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann, Colin Cunningham said: "Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience caused when unplanned outages occur. I would like to assure customers that we are working hard to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible."
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
