Works to restore water supply for customers in Cashel Town and surrounding areas
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.
Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses following a fault at the treatment plant in Springmount. As a result, water supply to Cashel and surrounding areas is impacted.
Crews have been on site since this morning and working to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers. Uisce Éireann anticipates that the water supply will start returning to most areas over the course of today; but some customers on higher ground may have a longer restoration site.
Uisce Éireann's Colin Cunningham regrets the inconvenience for customers, adding: "We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We would like to thank impacted customers in the Cashel area for their patience while we work on repairs and restore the water supply as quickly as possible."
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on Twitter @IWCare with any queries. For updates please visit the Supply and Service Updates page.
