Overnight restrictions for part of Galtee Regional Public Water Supply to help reservoir levels recover
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.
Overnight water restrictions are necessary for customers supplied by Galtee Regional Public Water Supply to ensure a daytime supply for the Tipperary community. The restrictions, in place for some areas on the scheme, will be in place from 9pm tonight until 7am tomorrow morning to help reservoir levels recover.
The areas affected include Bansha, Knockballynoe, Aughnagower, Kilfeacle, Ballyhusty, Drishane, Greenane and surrounding areas.
Some customers, especially those at higher elevations on the network, may experience reduced pressure while others may experience water outages.
Water levels will be reviewed tomorrow (Wednesday) and a further update will be issued if additional restrictions are required.
Thanking the community for their patience, Uisce Éireann's Colin Cunningham said: "We understand the impact restrictions have on a community, but they are essential to allow reservoir levels to recover overnight and maintain a consistent supply of drinking water for customers during the day. We thank the community for their support and ask them to consider their water usage in the days ahead."
