Normal supply returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Ashbourne and Ratoath
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.
Night-time restrictions for Ashbourne and Ratoath have been lifted with essential repair works now complete.
A pump failure at Primatestown Pumping Station impacted water supply to Windmill Hill Reservoir and overnight restrictions were necessary with some customers experiencing outages or reduced pressure in recent nights.
However, dedicated crews have resolved the issue with supply now returning to normal.
Meanwhile, nighttime restrictions in Trim have also been lifted with reservoir levels recharged there. Uisce Éireann will continue to monitor the reservoir levels each day and we will provide an update if further restrictions are needed in Trim later this week.
Michael Cunniffe, Uisce Éireann thanked the community for their patience while the works at the Primatestown Pumping Station were being carried out.
"We understand the inconvenience restrictions can have and we appreciate everyone's co-operation. The recent overnight restrictions were necessary to ensure we had a daytime supply and while normal supply has returned, we are asking customers to continue to conserve water where possible."
Customers can find useful water saving tips on our website www.water.ie/conserve. This also includes an easy-to-use conservation calculator so you can work out how much water you are currently saving and how to conserve even more.
