Localised overnight restriction required to support leak repairs

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann crews continue to maintain water supplies across Dublin following the impacts of the recent weather events on water treatment infrastructure. Our priority is the provision of clean, safe drinking water to these communities.

Following the impacts of the recent weather events, combined with continued high demand for water, localised overnight restrictions will be required tonight in areas of Inchicore and Collins Avenue in North Dublin, and in parts of Ballyogan, Dalkey, Sandycove and Mounttown in South County Dublin to assist with leakage detection and repairs, and manage reservoir levels. Customers in these areas will experience reduced pressure and/or outages from 8pm tonight, 24 January, until 6am tomorrow morning. It may take several hours following restoration of pressure for normal supply to be fully restored due to the size of the network.

Stephen Burke, Regional Operations Manager with Uisce Éireann, said: "We recognise that this will cause some inconvenience to customers in the affected areas and thank them for their patience while we carry out essential works to address leakage and manage reservoir levels. Customers can get updates on their local supply on water.ie."

Customers are advised to check water.ie and to report loss of service or visible leaks to assist Uisce Éireann to identify burst pipes. Live updates on outages are also available on Twitter @IWCare.
