Crews working to restore normal water supply for customers supplied by Galtee Regional Public Water Supply
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.
Alternative water supplies will remain in place until normal supply is returned to all customers.
Uisce Éireann is working with Tipperary County Council to restore water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers following mechanical faults at Rossidrehid Water Treatment Plant.
Repair works are complete, however networks need to refill and reservoir levels need to recover. Due to size of the network it may take until Friday for normal water supply to fully return to some customers, especially those at the end of the network and at higher elevations.
Customers in the following areas: Ardloman, Cullen, Mount Bruis, Emly, Lattin, Kilross, Ballinard and surrounding areas may experience low pressure and/or interruptions to their water supply.
To support impacted customers, Uisce Éireann has arranged the delivery of an alternative water supply with drinking water to the following locations which will remain in place until water is returned to all customers: adjacent to Emly GAA Club, Lattin Village and Cullen Village.
All alternative water supplies will be in place by 2pm this afternoon and will remain in place until supply has returned to all customers. In all instances, customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure as per HSE advice.
Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann, Colin Cunningham said: "Uisce Éireann and Tipperary County Council understands the inconvenience caused when unplanned outages occur. I would like to assure customers that we are working hard to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible."
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
