Repairs successfully completed to burst water main in Mallow
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.
Uisce Éireann and Cork County Council have successfully completed repairs to a burst water main in Castlelands which was impacting the water supply to customers in the Mallow Town area.
Dedicated water service crews made every effort to minimise disruption while carrying out the repairs and restore normal water supply to customers as quickly as possible. The repairs were complex due to the location of the dig and have successfully been completed and normal water supply has begun to restore. It can take up to three hours for the water network to fully recharge and supply to return to all customers, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann, Pat Britton said, "Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience when unplanned outages occur and we would like to thank customers for their patience while we worked to repair the burst and restore normal water supply as quickly as possible."
The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on Twitter @IWCare with any queries. For updates please see the water supply and services section of our website.
