Crews undertaking works at Rosehall Reservoir
Uisce Éireann, working in partnership with Louth County Council is currently undertaking preparation works to carry out a detail survey at Rosehall Reservoir.
Uisce Éireann experts carry out regular dam inspections and surveys across the country to assess what level of maintenance and repairs are required.
Continued inspection and maintenance of our large, raised reservoirs within the public water supply network is essential to ensure they are safe for the local community.
At Rosehall Reservoir, it was necessary for the structure's embankment to be fully cleared of debris and vegetation to ensure the integrity and safety of the structure and facilitate the necessary inspection. A full and detailed dam safety inspection will now take place to establish if further maintenance and if any safety works are required to the structure.
Any further maintenance works associated with the reservoir will be communicated to the local community by Uisce Éireann and Louth County Council.
Uisce Éireann would like to thank the local community as we carry out this important survey.
