Dublin City Council water service crews working on behalf of Uisce Éireann having identified a number of additional leaks on the network impacting water pressure and supply for customers in the Terenure, Bushy Park area. Water Service Crews are on site and hope to restore normal supply as quickly as possible. Further updates on timelines will be provided as soon as available.
The leaks and interruptions to supply are likely an impact of a major burst to a water main on Tuesday which caused outages in a number of areas in South Dublin. Water supply and improved pressure has returned to most customers as the network recharged following protracted complex repairs in a number of locations over the previous two days.
Speaking about the issue Joe O'Reilly, Uisce Éireann said: "We apologise for the interruption to supply and pressure issues being experienced, we would like to thank customers for their patience while works are ongoing. Following a major burst and repairs being completed we have identified a number of additional locations that have needed extensive repair work. As water pressure returns to the network following a major outage the movement in the pipes can and has caused additional bursts on the network. Crews have been working around the clock to restore normal water supply to all customers."
