Essential network flushing taking place overnight from tonight until 4 November
Uisce Éireann is working in partnership with Sligo County Council to carry out essential maintenance works to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses supplied by North Sligo Public Water Supply Scheme.
Uisce Éireann and Sligo County Council wish to advise customers in Grange and surrounding areas supplied by the North Sligo Public Water Supply Scheme, that flushing of water network may cause temporary discolouration and intermittent loss of pressure to homes and businesses from 7.30 pm, tonight 31 October until 7 am on Saturday 4 November.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann will receive direct communication on this planned maintenance work.
Speaking about the maintenance works, Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, Kevin Love said: "This essential maintenance works are necessary to continue to provide a safe and reliable supply to customers supplied from the North Sligo Public Water Supply Scheme. This network flushing will reduce levels of localised discolouration experienced by some customers particularly in the Ballinful, Breaghwy and Mountedward areas."
Kevin added: "Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience when planned works like this occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we complete these essential works."
