Repairs completed and water supply returning for all customers in Celbridge

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann crews have successfully completed repairs to a burst water impacting customers in the following areas: Dublin Road, Hazelhatch Road, The Little Grove, Primrose Hill, The Big Grove, Simmonstown Manor, Hazelwood Park, Railway Cottages, Callenders Mill, Temple Manor, Chelmsford, Celbridge, and surrounding areas.

Following reports of a supply disruption, dedicated Uisce Éireann crews were immediately deployed and worked hard to restore normal water supply to impacted customers as quickly as possible.

Repairs were successfully completed and water supply is returning to customers, however, it may take a up to three hours for full supply to restore to all customers, especially those at the end of the network or on high ground.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

Stephen Burke, Regional Operations Manager at Uisce Eireann, acknowledged the impact on the community, adding: "On behalf of Uisce Éireann, I'd like to thank impacted stakeholders for their patience, co-operation, and assistance while we worked to complete the repairs as quickly as possible and regret the inconvenience".

Uisce Éireann continues to appeal to customers to conserve water to help the network refill and restore normal supply to all customers. While handwashing remains a priority, simple water conservation efforts can have a big impact on reducing demand. Turning off the tap while brushing your teeth and shaving can save up to 6 litres of water per minute. Taking a shower instead of a bath or using a watering can rather than a hose when gardening can also make a big difference in water use. The burst is causing low pressure and outages for some customers in the following areas: Dublin Road, Hazelhatch Road, The Little Grove, Primrose Hill, The Big Grove, Simmonstown Manor, Hazelwood Park, Railway Cottages, Callenders Mill, Temple Manor, Chelmsford, Celbridge, and surrounding areas.
