Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann is carrying out essential works to the water network in Cratloe and Meelick on Wednesday, 29 May. To facilitate these works, a water outage is necessary.

The essential works are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann's Leakage Reduction Programme and will strengthen the water supply network in both areas by reducing leakage and improving operational performance of the water network.

Speaking about the essential works, Programme Manager with Uisce Éireann, Jack Cronin said: "Every effort will be made to reduce the impact of these works on homes and businesses and restore the water supply as quickly as possible. We understand the impact that outages can have on customers and would like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and co-operation during the works."

The outage will take place from 8pm to midnight on Wednesday, 29 May. During this time, homes and businesses at Clonconane, Thomond Village, Ferndale, Whitethorn Drive Lower, Birch Avenue, Hazel Avenue, Rowen Avenue, Willow Avenue, Alderwood Avenue, Woodbine Avenue, Pinewood Avenue, Mayfield Road, Glendora Avenue Glenmore road, Cratloe Wood Student Village, Aherlow Close, Galtee Close, Clonile, Camira Court, Cratloe Court Drive and surrounding areas may be impacted by reduced water pressure or supply interruptions. The areas that may be impacted by the outage in Meelick include Summerhill, Old Cratloe Road, Carraig Hill, The Barrows, Lower Meelick, Phares Road and surrounding areas.
