Repair works completed following burst watermain in Kildare

Repair works have been completed following a burst watermain in Kildare impacting customers in Maynooth, Clane, Straffan and surrounding areas.

Michael McLoughlin, Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann said:

"The majority of customers should have the water returned by now, however, it may take two to three hours for normal supply to fully restore to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network. We understand the inconvenience an outage can have, and we appreciate everyone's co-operation."

Uisce Éireann is aware of a burst watermain in Kildare that may be impacting customers in Maynooth, Clane, Straffan and surrounding areas.

Every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible. 

Michael McLoughlin, Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann said:

"We understand the inconvenience that unplanned outages can have, and we thank customers for their support. Given the location of the burst, the repair works are more complex and may take longer than usual. We will continue to keep customers updated as the works progress, however, it is likely that the repair works will not be completed until tomorrow morning."

Following repair works, it typically takes two to three hours for normal supply to fully restore to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
