• The response from Kieran’s team and all who’ve worked with him to the announcement of this award was unanimous: “Kieran has probably deserved this award for many years, for continuously setting the bar for Health & Safety very high."
• Kieran sets the standard in terms of his commitment to health and safety, and his continued support of and collaboration with Uisce Eireann project teams and HSQE.
• Since December 2023 Kieran has surpassed his high standards once again. Post a Near Miss on one of his projects his level of engagement with the process to close it out was phenomenal. He went above and beyond what was asked by arranging meetings, site visits, engaging with suppliers, review sessions, workshops and all was done in an honest and transparent manner with the Uisce Eireann team involved. He led a working group that was set up following the incident to review the process of pipe deliveries to UÉ projects in order to find the best and most practical solutions possible. 
• Sharing his work with others, taking feedback, reviewing, reworking and sharing all over again. One of his favourite phrases during these sessions was "Well, what do you think?". And it genuinely mattered to him what was thought in the purest sense of collaboration.
