• Andy received 3 nominations for his positive and proactive approach to managing Health & Safety. The project team noted that it is not unusual for Andy to oversee the health and safety coordination of up to 80 tradespeople on a given day, from various sub-contractors. 
• He is clear in his direction, and the site is well set up with clearly designated areas including for site visitors.
• The nominations highlight Andy’s ‘Safety-First’ approach, never shying away from risks or near misses and instead working collaboratively to get to the root cause and share the lessons learned.
• Another thing that stood out in the nominations, is the pride, enthusiasm and can-do attitude that Andy shows in his role. Andy turned old hard hats into hanging baskets, enhancing the overall mood of wellbeing on site.

Andy was presented with his award by Maria O’Dwyer at the National Laboratory site following a site walkover by the Project Team and IDD Senior Management.
