22 April 2024

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

As part of Uisce Éireann’s Leakage Reduction Programme

Uisce Éireann is carrying out essential works to the water network in Glanmire on Tuesday, 23 April and Thursday, 25 April. To facilitate these works, two essential water outages are required.

The essential works are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann’s Leakage Reduction Programme and will strengthen the water supply network in the area by reducing leakage and improving operational performance of the water network.

The first outage will take place on Tuesday, 23 April from 9am until 6pm. During this time, homes and businesses in Richmond, Ballinglanna, Woodville, Fernwood, Chestnut Meadows, Ard Corrig, The Paddocks, Glentown Road and surrounding areas may be impacted by reduced water pressure or supply interruptions.

The second outage will take place from 7pm on Thursday, 25 April to 7am on Friday, 26 April. During this time, homes and businesses in Woodville Estate, Factory Hill, The Beeches, The Courtyard and surrounding areas may be impacted by reduced water pressure or supply interruptions.

As the water supply returns, there may be some increased instances of discoloured water in the short-term. For helpful tips on what to do following an outage, visit our Issues Following an Outage page.
